yay! It looks great and works like a treat!

I updated the GALACTIX download. I just added some nice cheats – for those who think it’s too hard to play
Galactix is now finished! At least for the moment.
I find the game quite good, the main features of it are the great sound and shock detection! Of course it also uses the rumble effect and it does some funky screen inverting effects
Here are the screenshots, you can head over to the Pokemon Mini section and download it there but it is much better if you play it on real hardware!

To connect your Pokemon Mini to your PC everything you need is just two wires and a standard 9 Pin serial port connector! I hooked up the infrared transfer line of the Pokemon Mini to the receive pin of my PC serial port and then I just sent the Bios of the PM to my PC and dumped it.
To wire your PM to your PC just open the PM and search for 2 pads labeled with TXD and RXD on the PM board close to the IR diode/receiver. Just solder a wire to the pad that is next to the IR diodes and solder this wire to pin 2 of a standard 9 pin serial connector. Then solder a wire to GND (-) of your pokemon mini battery holder and connect this wire to pin 5 of the serial connector. That’s it!
Now just flash the ROM to a flash cart, start the PC app (it only receives everything on the serial port and writes it to a file) and then turn your PM on. The transfer is just running at 1200 baud so it will take a little while after everything is transfered.
I found out that every PM Bios is the same. The Bios included in Pokemon Channel is just the same as the Bios on an EU or US Pokemon Mini.
This connection works only for sending data from the PM to the PC. For sending data to the PM you better don’t connect the transfer pin of the serial port directly to your PM since it drives the IO signal with +12V and -12V! The best idea for making a real connection is to get a MAX3232 chip to act as a level converter between PC and PM or just get an USB< ->serial IC to add USB capability to your PM

p0p just sent another version of PokeRemote for SONY TVs, it looks like it is working fine! I only had to do minimal source code changes (timer speeds) and I of course had to change the IR codes. Btw, I would like to thank San Bergmans for his great website (you can find almost all important remote control protocols there and some that are quite unusual).
You can download the SONY version of PokeRemote on the Pokeme website (Files->Roms->Tools) as well as the Thomson version.
